What we collect
Nothing you enter. There is no account system, no email capture, no contact form and no server that receives calculator inputs. Every computation happens locally in your browser, using JavaScript that was delivered with the page.
Local storage
Each calculator saves your last inputs in your browser's localStorage so you do not
have to retype them on your next visit, and your light or dark theme choice is stored the same
way. This data:
- Stays on the device you used, in that browser only
- Is never transmitted to us or to anyone else
- Is not readable by other websites
- Disappears when you clear site data for this domain
It is a convenience feature, not tracking. If you would rather nothing persisted, a private browsing window prevents it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own — there is nothing to consent to, which is why you have not been asked.
Analytics and advertising
There is no advertising on MrScooty, no affiliate links, no remarketing pixels and no third-party tracking scripts. If basic aggregate traffic measurement is ever added, it will be a cookieless method that does not build profiles of individuals, and this page will say so before it goes live.
Hosting and server logs
Serving a web page necessarily involves your browser making a request, and hosting providers keep standard technical logs — typically IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent — for security and reliability. Those logs are not used to identify individuals and are never combined with anything you type into a calculator.
Third-party requests
Fonts and every other asset are served from this domain, so loading a page does not contact any external service. Links to other sites are ordinary links; once you follow one, that site's own policies apply.
Children
The site is a general-audience reference tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights over personal data an organisation holds about you. In our case there is nothing to exercise them against, because we hold none. The local storage described above can be cleared at any time from your browser settings, without asking us.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions go to hello@mrscooty.com.
